Noctua NF A20 HS-PWM Chromax Fan, 200mm, Black

With the Noctua NF A20-HS Chromax, Watercool, in collaboration with Noctua, offers probably the most powerful 200mm silent fan for our MO-RA3 radiators.

Noctua's NF-A20 has received numerous awards and recommendations from international hardware websites and magazines and has established itself as a reference for premium quality 200mm fans. The HS-PWM (High-Speed-PWM) version, available exclusively via Watercool.de, offers, in addition to the attractive, completely black chromax.black design, an increased speed of 1200rpm, which is over 40% higher than the regular PWM version with 800rpm Delivery capacity and over 90% more static pressure.

154mm, 110x180mm and 170mm hole spacing

In order to enable the broadest possible compatibility with today's PC cases, the NF-A20 has three different hole spacings: While the 154x154mm and 110x180mm dimensions enable the replacement of most common 200mm fans, the 170x170mm dimension is used for many 230 and 250mm fans, which can also be replaced by the NF-A20.*

Flow Acceleration Channels

The impeller of the NF-A20 is equipped with so-called flow acceleration channels on the suction side. By accelerating the airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, suction-side vortex shedding is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emissions.

AAO frame system

Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) frames have integrated vibration buffers as well as a stepped inlet area (Stepped Inlet Design) and an inner surface microstructures that enable even better performance/noise efficiency.

Stepped inlet design

The stepped inlet area of ??the stepped inlet design creates more turbulence in the inlet. This facilitates the transition from laminar to turbulent flow, which adheres better to the frame (flow attachment) and thus increases the suction capacity of the fan, especially when the intake area is limited.

Inner Surface Microstructures

The microstructure inside the frame (Inner Surface Microstructures) creates a boundary layer through which the tips of the fan blades move. This reduces power separation from the suction side of the blade tips, resulting in a significant reduction in rotational tone and an increase in pressure and airflow efficiency.

SSO2 storage system

The NF-A20 is equipped with the further optimized second generation of Noctua's proven SSO storage system. With SSO2, the rear magnet sits closer to the fan axis, providing even better stabilization, resulting in further improved precision and durability.

Metal bearing shell

In order to guarantee the greatest possible level of manufacturing precision, minimal tolerances and excellent long-term stability, the fans in the chromax line use a CNC milled brass bearing shell.

PWM IC with SCD

The fan supports fully automatic speed control via PWM and uses Noctua's specially designed NE-FD1 chip. This new PWM IC integrates Noctua's Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which minimizes PWM switching noise and makes the fan even quieter at low speeds.

6 year manufacturer's warranty

Noctua's fans are known for their impeccable quality and outstanding durability. Like all Noctua fans, the NF-A20 has an MTTF specification of over 150,000 hours and comes with a full 6-year manufacturer's warranty.

*As there is no binding industry standard for the size and hole spacing of 200mm, 220mm, 230mm or 250mm fans, please consult Noctua's case compatibility list and carefully check your case's hole spacing and available space (the NF-A20 is 30mm deep, whereas some other 200mm fans are only 20mm deep!) to make sure the NF-A20 is compatible with your case. If in doubt, please contact your housing manufacturer.
