Down tube specialty fittings are installed in a water cooling reservoir to prevent the water returning to the reservoir from splashing. When water comes into the top of a reservoir in a custom water loop, it has to travel from the port in the top of the reservoir to the upper surface of the liquid stored there. Normally this will cause splashing from the short free fall distance involved. A down tube fitting attached to the return inlet port of the reservoir directs the returning coolant to a spot below the level of coolant in the reservoir, preventing splashing completely and lowering overall noise levels. TITAN RIG’s selection of down tubes includes internal and external versions in several colors and different lengths to meet your needs.
