Interchangeable anti-vibration pads in 7 colors

The NF-A12x25 PWM chromax.black.swap comes with 4 black, white, red, blue, gray, green and yellow NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads. By combining the different colors with black or the black pads with the included black NA-AVG1 anti-vibration sealing lip, the fan can be adapted to most common color schemes from the factory. To equip both sides of the fan with the same color, additional NA-SAVP1 sets can be purchased separately

Optional colored cables

Noctua's chromax fans use a modular cable system and are delivered from the factory with a completely covered, black NA-EC1 30cm cable. For even more complete color customization, white, red, blue, green and yellow NA-EC1 cables and matching NA-YC1 Y-cables are available separately.

Optional colored anti-vibration mounts

Matching the included anti-vibration pads, colored NA-SAV2 anti-vibration mounts are available in the chromax product line, which enable convenient, quick and vibration-free mounting of the fans in standard mounting holes for case fans.

The advanced aerodynamic design of the NF-A12x25 enables an extremely strong pressure-flow characteristic (P/Q), especially in the critical middle range. This makes the NF-A12x25 a real all-rounder that works excellently in both pressure-sensitive and flow-sensitive applications.

Excellent application acoustics

While many fans produce unpleasant, high-pitched running noises as soon as they are mounted in typical applications such as on coolers or radiators, the NF-A12x25 has been carefully optimized for optimal application acoustics: Even at high dynamic pressure, the fan impresses with an even, pleasant frequency profile surprisingly low sound pressure levels.

Flow Acceleration Channels

The impeller of the NF-A12x25 is equipped with so-called flow acceleration channels on the suction side. By accelerating the airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, suction-side vortex shedding is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emissions.

Minimum impeller gap

The NF-A12x25 has an unprecedentedly narrow impeller gap (distance between blade tips and inside of the frame) of just 0.5mm. This extremely ambitious design sets a new record for 120mm fans and contributes to superior performance at higher back pressures such as on coolers and radiators because there is less leakage current through the gap between the rotor and frame.

Metal reinforced hub area

The central hub area of ??the NF-A12x25 is made entirely of steel and the axle mount has additional reinforcement made of brass. The combination of these two measures ensures ultimate precision and even better stability in the critical hub area.

Sterrox liquid crystal polymer

The rotor of the NF-A12x25 is made of Noctua's innovative Sterrox liquid crystal polymer (LCP), which is characterized by extreme tensile strength, an exceptionally low coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent damping characteristics, which are ideal for reducing resonance and vibration phenomena in modern fan blade designs.

AAO frame system

Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) frames have integrated vibration buffers as well as a stepped inlet area (Stepped Inlet Design) and an inner surface microstructures that enable even better performance/noise efficiency.

Stepped inlet design

The stepped inlet area of ??the stepped inlet design creates more turbulence in the inlet. This facilitates the transition from laminar to turbulent flow, which adheres better to the frame (flow attachment) and thus increases the suction capacity of the fan, especially when the intake area is limited.

Inner Surface Microstructures

The microstructure inside the frame (Inner Surface Microstructures) creates a boundary layer through which the tips of the fan blades move. This reduces power separation from the suction side of the blade tips, resulting in a significant reduction in rotational tone and an increase in pressure and airflow efficiency.

Anti-vibration sealing lip for water cooling radiators

The NF-A12x25 chromax.black.swap comes with a black silicone sealing lip that can be used when installing on water cooling radiators and other applications that benefit from a tighter seal. The sealing lip helps dampen minimal vibrations and contributes to optimal cooling performance by reducing leakage currents between the fan and radiator.

SSO2 storage system

The NF-A12x25 is equipped with the further optimized second generation of Noctua's proven SSO storage system. With SSO2, the rear magnet sits closer to the fan axis, providing even better stabilization, resulting in further improved precision and durability.

Metal bearing shell

In order to guarantee the greatest possible level of manufacturing precision, minimal tolerances and excellent long-term stability, a CNC milled brass bearing shell is used.

PWM IC with SCD

The fan supports fully automatic speed control via PWM and uses Noctua's specially designed NE-FD1 chip. This new PWM IC integrates Noctua's Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology, which minimizes PWM switching noise and makes the fan even quieter at low speeds.

Stops at 0% PWM

The fan can be brought to a complete standstill by controlling it via the mainboard or a fan controller with a PWM duty cycle (duty cycle) of 0%. This makes it ideal for semi-passive systems that switch off the fans when there is low thermal load and therefore run completely silently.

Smooth Commutation Drive 2

The latest, further developed version of Noctua's SCD drive system guarantees excellent smoothness by eliminating torque fluctuations and switching noise. This makes the fan surprisingly quiet, even at close range.

Optional adapter for 140mm water cooling radiators

Thanks to its superior efficiency, the NF-A12x25 can also outperform many 140mm fans. Combined with the optional NA-FMA1 adapter frame, which allows installation on 140mm radiators, the NF-A12x25 is an excellent upgrade for 140mm-based water cooling.
