The Alphacool Core reservoir has an integrated pump top for powerful D5 pumps and comes with a VPP655 PWM pump. The reservoir tube is made of acrylic, the D5/VPP pump top and lid are made of acetal. The combination of these two materials gives the reservoir a discreet appearance. The wow effect is provided by 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the top of the pump and the light tower water effect inside the acrylic tube.
Compared to the previous Eisbecher models, the acrylic tube of the core reservoir has an external thread. This ensures more stability and security when connecting the cover and pump top to the tube. The integrated digital aRGB lighting is also new. 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the top of the pump are included with the Core reservoir and will no longer have to be purchased separately in the future.
Extensive mounting options
Mounting option 1:
The scope of delivery includes feet which, among other things, enable the expansion tank to be mounted on the bottom of the housing.
Mounting option 2:
The scope of delivery includes 120mm/140mm mounting frames with which the core reservoir can be attached to free fan spaces, radiators or to the fans on radiators.
Digitally addressable RGB lighting
12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs illuminate the reservoir's acrylic tube. They are attached in a ring shape to the lower end of the tube in the transition to the top of the pump and ensure brilliant illumination of the entire reservoir. In combination with the Lighttower water effect, a very special ambience is achieved. The digital aRGB LED lighting is connected via a JST 3-pin connector and can be controlled with a digital RGB controller (e.g. Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol, Art.15360) or a digital RGB capable mainboard.
Lighttower water effect
A special water effect is created in the core reservoir via the riser tubes. If you don't fill the reservoir over the upper edge of the riser tube, you get a kind of fountain effect. The water is pushed out the sides of the riser tube and sprayed against the glass tube. Depending on the flow of the circuit, the effect is stronger or weaker. The effect can be placed at the lower or upper inlet using the riser tubes included in the scope of delivery.
This pump is ideal for water cooling PCs and other electronic components. The DC motor pump is equipped with an electronically commutated spherical motor. In a spherical motor pump, the only moving part is a spherically shaped rotor, which in this case rests on a ball bearing made of ultra-hard and wear-resistant ceramic. The spherical bearing of the rotor offers a number of advantages: An increase in the bearing play is not possible due to the design, the pump will always run consistently quietly and quietly. A separate magnetic shielding is also not necessary with this pump. The spherical motor principle allows efficient operation with excellent performance. All parts of the pump are completely corrosion resistant.
