Mounting optionsIt is possible to screw the ice station onto a 2.5" mount for SSD hard drives . Installation in a 3.5" bay is also possible. In both cases, the screw connection is carried out using the special decoupling screws provided. This minimizes the transmission of vibrations to the housing and makes operation significantly quieter overall. Another mounting option is an included Velcro fastener. One part of the Velcro fastener is simply glued to the bottom of the ice station while the other part is glued into the housing. Then the ice station only needs to be pressed onto the base of the ice station on the counterpart in the housing. The size of the Velcro fastener ensures a secure position even during transport. Installation can be done vertically or horizontally, depending on your wishes and space.

Connection optionsEach IN and OUT with G1/4 thread can be found on the head side with the illuminated logo. A G1/4" and a G3/8" connection are available in the lid. The G3/8" connection makes filling the ice station easier due to its larger diameter and can alternatively be used as a lighting module for 5 mm LEDs. Two additional 5 mm LED positions are also found in the floor and illuminate the water-filled part from below.

A special highlight is the choice of material for the ice station. The lower part is covered with a high-quality soft-touch surface, which provides an outstanding feel and look. The upper part and actual expansion tank is not made of simple and easily broken acrylic glass but rather of extremely sturdy nylon. While normal expansion containers made of glass or acrylic glass can crack or break even at small heights or if handled improperly, it is almost impossible to destroy the transparent container of the ice station.
