HEATKILLER series CPU water blocks are some of the best performing and most popular CPU blocks on the market. Since its introduction in 2001, Watercool continuously enhanced and improved the series. The HEATKILLER IV is the most comprehensive and recent iteration of the franchise.

New cooling engine and optimized flow paths

Through all developments, the cooling engine took the biggest evolutionary step. Watercool gave the cold plate significantly thinner fins, which results in a larger surface and better heat dissipation. At the same time, Watercool made sure that the flow rate isn’t impacted by this.
Watercool dropped the separate jet plate design but integrated its mechanics directly into the top. This new technology improves performance, flow rate, and reliability.

Heatkiller IV Easy-Mount, premium manufacturing, Made in Germany

Watercool developed the revolutionary Easy-Mount –System to simplify the installation process. After the first installation, the block can be installed and uninstalled completely tool-less. The system also provides a fixed stop of the installation bolts. A faulty installation is almost impossible with this system.

But the design should also be worthy of a WATERCOOL product. Only the highest quality raw materials combined with the most cutting edge manufacturing technologies make a true HEATKILLER IV.

Massive HEAVY backplate for the current Intel Alder Lake LGA 1700 socket generation, CNC milled from 7mm thick aluminum . The HEAVY backplate prevents socket bending and therefore provides a more consistent contact pressure for maximum cooling performance. The included 0.8mm washer mod further optimizes the experience.

The insulated aluminium backplate can be easily mounted directly to the socket using integrated UNC threads. Additionally the case should have a recess in the tray in the area of the socket due to the thickness of the backplate. By the way, the backplate can also be used with coolers from other manufacturers. The M4 female threads provide an excellent compatibility.
