When it comes to creating your first custom water cooling loop in a PC, all of the different pieces and options can make the task feel somewhat daunting. In the past, new water coolers have had to rely on forums and friends for help to make sure they got the right parts. Fortunately, EKWB has created a wide number of complete custom water cooling kits to eliminate the confusion for first time water coolers or those looking for the convenience of a complete kit. Kits are available for a variety of different build types and personal preferences. GPU water blocks are not included in these kits because there are too many versions with specific requirements based on your GPU. If you need help selecting a GPU water block to match anyone of these kits please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] so we can assist you. |
EKWB has focused their kits into 4 different product series. |
These kits are focused towards builders who want the benefits of custom liquid cooling with minimal startup costs. As the name implies, these kits also include components with RGB lighting. You will also have the option of their P or S series kits. These kits are nearly identical with the exception of the radiator thickness. P series classic kits feature a 40mm thick PE series radiator while S series classic kits feature a 28mm thick SE series radiator. Main components include: |
These kits are a great option for builders who want greater expandability options down the road. Features include a heavier duty radiator by default and a more powerful D5 pump. While RGB lighting is not included, EKWB does include a set of 3mm LEDs that can be inserted into the included CPU water block. If you plan on overclocking and adding a GPU water block down the road, this kit would be a better performing option over the Classic RGB series kit. Main components include: |
HT Series kits are for those that are looking to create a rigid tubing loop in their PC. Rigid tubing generally has a more professional and cleaner look over flexible tubing. You have a lot more control over the entire layout and is the preferred tubing style of PC modders. These kits also feature a slim 30mm thick radiator which has much greater compatibility with PC cases. Main components include: |
X Series kits are a no holds bar option for those looking to maximize cooling performance, expandability and customization. This is your best option if you plan on adding 1-2 liquid cooled GPUs. EKWB includes a massive 64mm thick radiator for the best possible cooling. That said, you need to make sure your PC case can accommodate it’s size. The included DDC pump and pump top combo is separated from the reservoir to allow for greater flexibility with the loop layout. Main components include: |
If you would like further inforamtion about installing these water cooling kits, please see this video series from EKWB Now let’s get a closer look at some of the components in these kits. We have chosen to highlight the Extreme Series X360 Kit because of its top tier performance and customization options. We will also be giving away this kit on our Facebook page!
