CoolCover Universal CPU mounting kit

Special mounting kit with covered springs for Alphacool waterblocks and waterblocks from third party manufacturers.

The CoolCover mounting kit has two special features: Its technology makes the adjustment of even, maximal contact pressure much easier. The design obscures the optically not quite attractive prings which results in a more even and better-looking overall appearance of the waterblock.

By adjusting the length of the sleeve to the shortest spring length the highest possible contact pressure is achieved when the spring disappears completely in the sleeve. This also ensures an even distribution of contact pressure.

The knurled nuts are made from solid brass and are easy to tighten by hand due to their design. The crank at the lower end of the nut allows the sleeve to slide onto the nut when the spring is tightened, resulting in a flush and symmetrical finish of the sleeve with the nut - an audible locking sound will occur.

The Coolcover is suitable for all Alphacool CPU waterblocks and waterblocks from other manufacturers. The included three different screw lengths allow compensation of different heights with the Coolcover knurled nut - Sometimes parts of the original mounting material also lead to the right combination. The long thread depth of 17mm in M4 of the knurled nuts should ensure that virtually any combination will work. (When using different springs please check spring diameter, sleeve diameter and length as well as spring length and maximum and minimum compression.)

Practical and safe mount: The mounting screws are protected from accidental loosening with a high counter-nut plus lock washer. The design of the counter nut allows installation by hand - The screw is simply fixated with the included hexagonal key when tightening the counter-nut. This makes the use of pliers and screwdrivers obsolete which often slip and seriously damage the Mainboard.
